Mini Facelift

Scroll Down

A facelift is a cosmetic surgical procedure that lifts and tightens sagging skin on the face and neck to create a smoother and more youthful appearance. A mini facelift is a modified version of the procedure with a smaller incision and less cutting of underlying tissue. Getting a facelift is a highly individualized decision that starts with a candid discussion with one of our experts. We will take a detailed medical history and carefully consider your general health, skin condition, scarring tendency, and other factors in the context of what you want your facelift to achieve. We will take pictures so we can study your face, and may discuss other options, such as an eye lift or dermal fillers.

Getting Ready

In preparing for your facelift or mini facelift, you may be asked to temporarily avoid certain over-the-counter medications as your surgery date draws near. The surgery takes place under general anesthesia, requiring you to arrange for transportation to and from the surgical facility.

After Your Face Lift

When your facelift procedure is complete, you will likely have dressings, drains, or both. Sutures (stitches) can come out five to 10 days after your procedure. You will need to return to the surgeon a few days after the procedure to get the sutures removed. Recovery from a facelift or mini-facelift takes several weeks. Following your surgeon's post-surgery instructions is very important. You will receive details on addressing swelling and bruising and managing discomfort.
